Clinical Informatics Analyst

Full-time position available as a Clinical Informatics Analyst in the Information Systems Department of Regional Enterprises Incorporated (REI). The Clinical Informatics Analyst assists in development and maintenance of clinical applications and databases for clinical users. This position provides support to staff by troubleshooting workflow issues and system issues as well as documenting and escalating user questions and issues to the appropriate personnel.  Job duties may include designing and implementing educational, clinical service programs and training new hires on clinical applications.  In conjunction with other information systems staff and vendors, this person will assist in problem determination, program testing and program quality control.  Ultimately, the Clinical Informatics Analyst combines their extensive clinical experience with technological advancements to ensure better patient care.

A candidate must have experience with computers and health information systems.  A candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be highly analytical and able to explain complex terminology to others.  Must demonstrate skills in critical thinking, problem solving and decisive decision making.  The candidate needs to have skills to work independently as well as interdependently and be detail oriented.  This position will involve travel between facilities supported by the Regional Enterprises Incorporated (REI) Information Systems Department.

It is highly recommended that this person is a graduate with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing.  A bachelor’s degree in another healthcare related area may also be considered.  A minimum of five years’ experience working in a healthcare field is required.
