About the Job:
The Nursing Supervisor oversees day-to-day operation of the Nursing Department and assists in other departments as necessary.
The Nursing Supervisor contributes to the achievement of the mission of MMC and the Department of Nursing by acting in these roles: Representative of the Nursing Profession; Custodian of the organization; Coordinator of Resources; and Manager of Human Resources. Is active in achieving True North through support of and involvement in Plan, People, Process.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital setting; management/supervisory experience preferred.
- Meets the requirements for a Registered NursecStaff Nurse II.
- Must be able to read and comprehend written materials of a complex level such as contracts, government regulations and other agency requirements written in English.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing including the ability to make effective group presentations in English.
- Must be able to comprehend and make mathematical computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and statistical applications.
- Within six months of hire, understands and effectively uses Microsoft Office, Laborworkx, and clinical documentation systems pertinent to role. Effectively uses internet resources to enhance role.

Licensure/Certification
- Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Wisconsin.
- A Bachelor’s degree and professional certification are preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Within twelve months, must have successfully completed ACLS and TNCC. NRP, PALS, ENPC are recommended.
Shift Time: 12- hour shifts
