About the Job:

The Director of Risk Management and Compliance provides direction, planning, organization, and oversight of accreditation and risk management functions. This position also serves as the administrator for the incident reporting system, supports compliance activities and serves as liaison for the risk liability carrier. Provides support of departments in a manner which effectively supports achievement of the hospital’s mission for MMC and Hayward Area Memorial Hospital and Waters Edge Nursing Home

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare field or related discipline is required
• Master’s degree strongly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years working in healthcare field
• Knowledge of performance standards of accreditation agencies such as CMS, Joint Commission, DNV, and other regulatory agencies is preferred.
• Ability to treat highly sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity
• Ability to work independently and interdependently
• Clinical background and management experience preferred
• Demonstrates the ability to comprehend legal documents, contracts, statute, insurance regulations and other regulatory literature
• Demonstrates strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and web-based software
• Strong skills and interests in data and analytics
• Strong technical writing skills
• Demonstrates skills in critical thinking and problem solving and project requiring attention to details and timelines
• Demonstrated success in managing projects
• Prior knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis and Proactive Risk Assessments preferred
• Prior knowledge of corporate compliance preferred
• Knowledge of hospital event/occurrence reporting systems and processes

Shift Time: 8- hour shifts
