When you have a medical emergency, you want immediate professional care. Memorial Medical Center’s emergency department (ED) is open and staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so we’re here whenever you need us.

Our team provides care for all ages for a wide range of conditions and injuries. Our highly experienced physicians, nurses, and support staff are experts in successfully responding to and treating emergency medical and surgical conditions, as well as mental health problems. Should your condition require more specialized care, a transfer will be arranged in collaboration with our local EMS services or Life Link III helicopter.

Call 911 if you aren’t sure if your situation is an emergency. It is best to err on the side of caution, and our local Emergency Medical System has specially-trained clinicians that will assist you.

Emergency conditions may include:

  • Difficulty breathing, shortness of breath

  • Chest or upper abdominal pain or pressure

  • Fainting, sudden dizziness, weakness, lack of mobility

  • Changes in vision

  • Confusion or changes in mental status

  • Any sudden or severe pain

  • Uncontrolled bleeding

  • Severe or persistent vomiting or diarrhea

  • Weakness on one side/facial droop/slurred speech

  • Coughing or vomiting blood

  • High fever/fever with rash

  • Serious burns

  • Broken bones

  • Suicidal or homicidal feelings

Memorial Medical Center provides both Urgent Care and Emergency Care. Based on your condition and the time of your arrival, a determination will be on what service you will receive.
