Patient Care Unit
Our Patient Care Unit is located on the second floor and features 25 in-patient rooms, including 4 Special Care/Close Observation rooms that have cardiac monitoring available for Critical Care patients. We treat patients for a number of conditions, including things such as pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF), stroke, diabetes, cancer, flu and patients recovering from surgery.
Communication is the cornerstone to patient care. Our advanced call system allows you or your family to connect directly with your nurse for items such as water, pain management or assistance to the bathroom. We utilize white boards and other communication tools to ensure your safety and recovery is handled seamlessly throughout your stay.
Each room is private and comes furnished with a flat screen television and wifi, sleeper sofa, chair and private bath with shower. Patients have the option of ordering room service or receiving traditional meals. We also provide an on-site chaplain to assist with any spiritual needs you may have during your stay. Upon discharge, we will work with you and your family to ensure you understand all discharge instructions and have a transition plan established, should it be needed, before leaving MMC.
We currently allow for visitors 24/7 and have a spacious waiting room located within the unit.
