Student athletes are required to complete a sports physical every-other year. This comprehensive examination is used to identify potential risks of injury, and to make sure the athlete is healthy enough to participate in school sports. Checking things like cardiac, neurological, and pulmonary health is good for overall well-being, but its especially crucial for the physical demands of organized sports.
There are some requirements to a sports physical appointment. First, students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Second, the student should wear loose clothing. Think shorts, t-shirts, and sports bras. Third, there are some forms that should be completed PROIR to your appointment. Wisconsin students can find a link to the required forms here.
