Memorial Medical Center receives prestigious Top 100 Hospital designation and 2020 Women’s Choice Award
Memorial Medical Center has recently been awarded a 2020 Top 100 Critical-Access Hospital designation by The Chartis Center for Rural Health and the 2020 Women’s Choice Award for America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience.
Top hospitals receiving these awards excel in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and operating at a lower cost than their peers.
The Top 100 Critical-Access Hospital award honors rural hospital performance and is based on the Hospital Strength Index, which draws from publicly available data to assess rural hospital performance. It uses 50 independent performance indicators relevant to rural hospitals.
The Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospitals is a coveted credential that identifies the nation’s best hospitals based on robust criteria that includes relevant clinical performance, patient satisfaction and appropriate accreditations, and is the only designation that takes into consideration the preferences of women when selecting a hospital.
“Memorial Medical Center is thrilled and honored to receive these impressive designations and awards for the excellent care we provide,” said Memorial Medical Center CEO, Jason Douglas. “Being in the top 10 percent of the over 1,300 critical-access hospitals nationwide validates our continuous commitment to providing the best health care possible right here in the place we love.”
